Meet the Maker
After 38 years in the Electrical Industry I have found my true passion. My entire life I have spent trying to find my one thing that I truly love and can express myself with. Don't get me wrong, I have been a very successful career electrician, but I have found leather to be so enjoyable. I have created some truly unique and amazing products. Now I want to share them with you.
I began my career in 1986, right out of high school. In 1999 I became a licensed Master Electrician and started my own shop. That went well for the next 9 years and I really enjoyed it. Then came the crash of 2008, and it hit hard. After struggling to try to keep it afloat, I closed my doors in 2010.
I took a job with what is now one of the nation's top 10 Electrical Contractors and began traveling shortly after.
In my career I have been involved with nearly every type of Electrical project there is. Residential, Industrial food processing, Electrical Automation Design builds, Military Installations, Hospital and Health Care, Telecommunications, Mission Critical, Fullfillment Centers, Data Centers and on and on. With project valuations up to 250 Million. Chances are, if you live in America, I have had part in building systems that you use daily in your life.
Since 2013 I have traveled all over America building Data and Fullfillment Centers for the top 4 internet giants that you use everyday. Throughout all 4 corners of America.
My current role is one that oversees the safe control of Electrical energy during the installation and energization of massive large scale data centers. Electrical systems up to 161,000 volts. With as many as 3000 workers on site. As an Energy Marshal, its my role to ensure safe execution of the build. This highly specialized role is rewarding, challenging and stressful. It has allowed my creativity to be utilized, but the artistic part has been minimal at best. Leather gives me that.
I have been given three amazing grandchildren. I have sacrificed time away from them in order to help provide the amazing life in front of us. Though I can leave behind the material things we have, I need to leave more. Burro Creek is the answer to that.
I hope to build a small family owned company of leather crafters that provide unique, high quality products you wont find anywhere else. In hopes they can continue on with when I'm gone.
